Your Guide to Fall Festivals Around Northeast Indiana

Sep 1, 2026

There's something about fall in Northeast Indiana that just feels special.

The cooler temperatures, changing leaves, football on the weekends, and community festivals make it one of my favorite times of year. If you're looking for ways to enjoy the season with family and friends, here are a few events I always recommend.

Johnny Appleseed Festival

Held every September at Johnny Appleseed Park, this longtime Fort Wayne tradition features historical demonstrations, handmade crafts, delicious food, and family-friendly activities. It's one of those events that truly celebrates our community's history.

Roanoke Fall Festival

Roanoke's charming downtown becomes even more inviting during its annual fall festival. Expect local vendors, live entertainment, great food, and plenty of small-town charm.

Kuehnert Dairy Farm Fall Festival

No fall season in Northeast Indiana feels complete without a visit to Kuehnert Dairy Farm in Fort Wayne. Their annual Fall Festival has become a favorite for so many local families—and it's easy to see why.

You can spend the day exploring the corn maze, taking a hayride, visiting the farm animals, picking out pumpkins, enjoying delicious food, and, of course, treating yourself to some of their homemade ice cream.

It's the kind of place where kids can run, play, and make memories while adults slow down and enjoy a beautiful fall day. Whether it's your first visit or an annual tradition, Kuehnert Dairy Farm is one of those local experiences that truly captures everything we love about autumn in Northeast Indiana.

Nolt's Pumpkin Patch

If your family loves pumpkins, corn mazes, hayrides, and fall treats, Nolt's Pumpkin Patch is a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon making memories together.

Dull's Tree Farm

More than just a Christmas tree farm, Dull's offers a fantastic fall experience with pumpkin patches, corn mazes, wagon rides, farm animals, and activities for all ages.

Fort Wayne Farmers Market

As summer transitions into fall, local farmers markets are filled with pumpkins, mums, apples, baked goods, and seasonal produce. It's a great opportunity to shop local while enjoying the changing season.

Explore Our Local Trails

Some of the best fall experiences don't require a ticket. Take a walk through Lindenwood Nature Preserve, Fox Island County Park, or Metea County Park to enjoy Northeast Indiana's beautiful fall colors.

Support Local Businesses

Fall is also a wonderful time to visit local coffee shops, bakeries, boutiques, and restaurants. Whether you're grabbing a seasonal latte, decorating your porch, or shopping for fall décor, supporting local businesses helps keep our community thriving.

Fall Is About More Than the Weather

One of the things I love most about Northeast Indiana is how our communities come together throughout the year. Fall festivals give us a chance to reconnect with neighbors, support local businesses, and create memories with the people we love.

Whether you're new to the area or have lived here your whole life, I encourage you to get out and enjoy everything our local communities have to offer this season.

Who knows—you might even discover a new annual tradition.
